This was produced as a speculative piece. The curved, coopered side panels have been in the design process over the years, and has become a ‘style’ in its own right. The design was first used on display units (4 that fitted together in various forms) for Broughton Gallery in the Scottish Borders. The panels are made up of sections of wood that have a slight angle on them, which in turn produces the curve. The piece eventually sold via the Westgate Gallery in North Berwick in 2008. The couple who purchased it use it to keep their Wellington boots in!
