Following on from the coopered cabinet, this was another spec piece which was meant to be one of a pair of bedside cabinets. The main timber is Scottish Elm, with the drawer insides made from European Sycamore, and the drawer bottoms made from Western Red Cedar, which has a very pleasant aroma. The drawers open and shut on traditional hardwood runners. The piece eventually sold from the ‘Made in Scotland’ gallery near Aberdeen, and I have no idea who owns it now!
